Fillet and Chamfer in Onshape
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) with Onshape
🕑 This lesson will take about 7 minutes
In this lesson, we will be learning how to use the Fillet and Chamfer tools in Onshape. These tools allow us to add rounded or chamfered edges to 3D objects, creating smoother and more realistic designs.
The Fillet tool allows you to create rounded corners or edges on a 3D shape
The Chamfer tool allows you to create sloped or angled corners or edges (at a 45-degree angle, by default).
To begin, we will start by creating a new document in Onshape and drawing a simple 3D object using the sketch and extrude tools. This object should have at least one sharp edge that we can round or chamfer using the Fillet and Chamfer tools.
